Exceptional Yaks for Sale

Established in 2020 (Yes, with God's grace we managed to pull it off during the pandemic!) Double T Ranch, LLC of North Central Idaho offers exceptional grass fed North American yaks for sale. Members of the North American Yak Association (NAYAK), we use ethical and humane livestock practices and collaborate with like-minded ranchers and farmers. In case you're new to yaks, they possess distinctive and sometimes clownish personalities and are beloved for their naturally docile temperament. They can serve as a source of income, are increasingly being used as pack and riding animals, they can be family pets, they make unique lawn ornaments, and when its time to harvest, their meat is one of the leanest, nutritious, and tastiest of all!

Our grandchildren love to spend time with our yaks and visitors take great delight in them -- even college football players! If you've never experienced a yak up close, you're in for a very special treat.

The ranch is located within the scenic Upper Palouse River Valley (pa-loose) and just minutes from the headwaters of the Palouse River. Three generations of our family, stewards of God's blessings, help operate the ranch. We'd love to show you around, including a tour of our private chapel and local landmark, Our Lady of the Palouse Catholic Chapel, named after the mother of our Lord and Savior.
